Ingredients
Scale
2 oz Vodka
1 oz Freshly Brewed Espresso, cooled
0.5 oz Coffee Liqueur (like Kahlua)
0.5 oz Irish Cream Liqueur (like Bailey’s)
0.25 oz Peppermint Schnapps
Ice cubes
For Rim (Optional): Crushed peppermint candies or chocolate syrup
For Garnish: 3 coffee beans or a small candy cane
Instructions
Prepare your glass: If using a rim, run a lime wedge around the rim of your martini glass and gently dip the rim into crushed peppermint candies or place chocolate syrup inside the glass. Set the glass aside.
Combine ingredients: Add the vodka, cooled espresso, coffee liqueur, Irish cream liqueur, and peppermint schnapps into a cocktail shaker.
Add ice: Fill the shaker two-thirds full with ice cubes.
Shake well: Close the shaker tightly and shake hard for about 15 to 20 seconds until the outside of the shaker is very cold. This creates the signature foam.
Strain and serve: Double strain the mixture into your prepared martini glass.
Garnish: Place three coffee beans on top of the foam or add a small candy cane to the rim. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use cold, freshly pulled espresso for the best foam and flavor. If you do not have an espresso machine, use a strong cold brew concentrate.
For a Chocolate Peppermint Espresso Martini variation, add 0.5 oz of chocolate syrup to the shaker.
If you want a sweeter drink, increase the coffee liqueur slightly or add a small dash of simple syrup.
