Make this easy Dorito bake recipe for a satisfying, family-friendly weeknight meal. This creamy chip bake uses ground chicken and Nacho Cheese Doritos for a crunchy topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 bag (9.75 ounces) Nacho Cheese Doritos, crushed
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the ground chicken in a large skillet over medium heat until fully browned. Drain any excess grease.
  3. In the same skillet, combine the cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, 1/2 cup of the cheddar cheese, milk, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until everything is well combined and heated through.
  4. Spread half of the crushed Nacho Cheese Doritos evenly over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  5. Pour the chicken mixture over the layer of chips and spread it out evenly.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese and the Monterey Jack cheese over the top of the chicken mixture.
  7. Top the cheese layer with the remaining crushed Doritos.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
  9. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before you serve it.

Notes

  • For the best crunch, crush the Doritos just before you top the casserole.
  • You can substitute ground beef or turkey for the chicken if you prefer.
  • If you want a spicier flavor, use Spicy Nacho Cheese Doritos instead of the original.
