Ingredients
Scale
1 pound bulk pork sausage
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 cups Bisquick baking mix
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease baking sheets or line them with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, combine the bulk pork sausage, softened cream cheese, Bisquick baking mix, and shredded cheddar cheese.
Mix the ingredients thoroughly until they are just combined. Do not overmix.
Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
Place the balls onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving a small space between each one.
Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.
Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly on the pan before serving.
Notes
For a make-ahead option, you can assemble the balls and freeze them unbaked on a tray. Once frozen solid, transfer them to a freezer bag. Bake directly from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the baking time.
If you prefer a tangier flavor, substitute half of the cheddar cheese with Monterey Jack cheese.
These sausage balls reheat well in an oven or air fryer.
