Make the famous sweet and creamy Grape Salad from Chicken Salad Chick at home. This easy copycat recipe combines juicy grapes, a rich cream cheese dressing, and a crunchy pecan topping, making it a perfect side dish for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds seedless grapes (red and green mix)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the grapes. Place the grapes in a large bowl.
  2. In a separate medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add the sour cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese. Mix until the dressing is completely smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the grapes. Gently fold the dressing into the grapes until all the fruit is evenly coated.
  5. Cover the bowl and chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to blend.
  6. Just before serving, combine the chopped pecans and brown sugar in a small bowl.
  7. Sprinkle the pecan and brown sugar topping evenly over the chilled grape salad. Serve cold.

Notes

  • For the best texture, ensure the grapes are completely dry before mixing them with the dressing.
  • You can prepare the grape and dressing mixture a day ahead. Keep it covered in the refrigerator, but add the pecan topping only right before serving to keep the nuts crunchy.
  • If you want a lighter version, substitute half of the sour cream with plain Greek yogurt.
