Ingredients
Scale
1 pound frozen raw shrimp (peeled and deveined, tail on or off)
1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
Instructions
Take your frozen shrimp directly from the freezer. Do not thaw them first. Place the frozen shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
In a small bowl, mix the olive oil or melted butter with the garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and parsley.
Drizzle the seasoning mixture over the frozen shrimp in the air fryer basket. Toss gently to coat the shrimp evenly.
Set your air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit (195 degrees Celsius).
Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes. Shake the basket halfway through cooking (around the 5-minute mark) to ensure even cooking.
Check the shrimp for doneness; they should be pink and opaque throughout. If they are not fully cooked, return them to the air fryer for 1 to 2 more minutes.
Remove the shrimp from the air fryer and serve immediately as an appetizer or add them to your main dish.
Notes
For extra crispy results, you can lightly spray the shrimp with cooking spray before seasoning.
If you are cooking a larger batch, cook in two smaller batches to avoid overcrowding the basket, which prevents crisping.
This method works well for both large and medium-sized frozen shrimp. Adjust time slightly if sizes vary greatly.
